Larry Cherston

Larry Cherston is an experienced Technical Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Developer with extensive expertise in Credit and Market Risk across prominent financial institutions. At Jefferies since November 2014, Cherston successfully revived a key project, designed and implemented a comprehensive Credit Data Model, and expanded it to integrate both UK and US data for streamlined Counterparty Credit Exposures. Prior to Jefferies, Cherston worked at Bank of America, where contributions included developing a GUI application for credit exposure analytics and leading Agile processes. During tenure at JPMorgan Chase, Cherston implemented pricing models and led teams overseeing full project lifecycles in Commodity Trading. Earlier positions included significant roles at AIG Trading Group and Drexel Burnham Lambert, showcasing a career spanning several decades in financial services technology. Cherston holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Accounting from Queens College.
