Rich Thomas

Rich Thomas is currently the Global Head of Shareholder Engagement and Activism Advisory at Jefferies, a position they have held since 2025. Prior to this role, Rich served as a Managing Director at Lazard, where they provided strategic advice in various leadership capacities, including in the Shareholder Advisory Group and the Capital Markets Advisory. Rich’s military career included the rank of Captain in the US Army from 1999 to 2004, where they held several operational and leadership positions within the 173rd Brigade and 1/507th Battalion. Rich earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
