Richard Garrison

Richard Garrison is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as a Senior Tax Advisor at Jefferies since February 2021, Richard previously held positions such as Director of Tax and Senior Vice President - Tax within the Jefferies organization from July 2018 to February 2021 and June 2009 to July 2018, respectively. Prior to joining Jefferies, Richard was the SVP and Director of Tax at BBVA Compass for over two decades, from August 1988 to June 2009. Earlier in Richard's career, a role as Senior Accountant at L. Paul Kassouf & Co., P. C. was undertaken from September 1984 to August 1988. Richard holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama.
