Romel Sabat

Romel Sabat, CFA, MFin, is currently a Vice President of Equity Research at Jefferies, specializing in Canadian Financials. Previously, they served as an Associate Director at Scotiabank Global Banking & Markets, focusing on REITs and Real Estate. Romel's experience also includes a position as a Junior Analyst in Private Equity at Novacap, where they contributed to the due diligence of multiple acquisitions. They hold a Master of Finance from Queen's University, graduating with a 3.92 GPA, and achieved all CFA designations on the first attempt, earning the charter in February 2022. During their academic tenure, Romel represented Queen's in the CFA Research Challenge, leading their team to the finals in New York City.
