Alejandro Castilla is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in accelerator physics and superconducting technology. Alejandro worked at CERN as a Research Associate from October 2018 to March 2022 and served as a Senior Research Fellow in the Superconducting Radiofrequency Cavity Technology from October 2015 to September 2018, where responsibilities included preparation and validation of rf cavities for the HiLumi LHC upgrade. After holding a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Lancaster University, from October 2018 to April 2022, Alejandro became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University in August 2022 and is currently a Staff Scientist II at Jefferson Lab since July 2022. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics and a PhD in Accelerator Physics from Universidad de Guanajuato and Old Dominion University, along with Master's degrees in Elementary Particle Physics and Physics, and notable participation in the Mexican Particle Accelerators School.
