Ian Gildea is an engineer and former brewer with a strong background in mechanical design, maintenance, quality control, and process management. They held roles such as Lead Brewer at award-winning craft breweries, where they established standard operating procedures to enhance production efficiency. Ian co-authored a research paper during their internship at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and is currently serving as a Magnet Group Staff Engineer I at Jefferson Lab. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University, following an Associate of Science in Engineering from Tidewater Community College.
