VP, SEO at Jellyfish

Jon Verrall is the VP of SEO at Jellyfish. Jon has over 9 years of experience in the digital marketing industry. Prior to joining Jellyfish, Jon was a Digital Marketing Analyst at FDM Group. There, they were responsible for assisting in new site builds, KW research, content generation, and broadening KW visibility. Jon was also responsible for on and off-site optimization, competitor analysis, back link profile analysis, landing page optimization with PPC in mind, and influence paid advertising and PPC campaigns based on organic search analysis and auditing.

Jon began their career as a Junior SEO Engineer at Fresh Egg in October 2010. There they were responsible for performing analysis and developing organic SEO strategies upon findings, link building through a variation of link building channels and techniques, on-site optimization and content strategies, thorough competitor analysis to source new advertising/link building opportunities, conversing with clients with regards to campaign progress and to develop further on-going digital marketing strategies, and learning an array of SEO tools and methodologies to help in their work.

In their current role at Jellyfish, Jon is responsible for managing the SEO team and executing Jellyfish’s SEO strategy across all client accounts. Jon works closely with the paid media team to ensure that clients are getting the most out of their digital marketing budgets and that their SEO efforts are complementing their paid efforts.

Jon Verrall has a certification from Jellyfish Online Marketing in Jellyfish Training Google Tag Manager Certificate.

Jon Verrall reports to Kevin Buerger, Chief Growth Officer. They are on a team with Mike Hall - VP, CRM, Sean McDonald - VP, Global Client Management, and Gemma Cocker - Group Account Director. Some individuals on their team include Josh Patterson - Senior SEO Director, Chris Suarez Biberle - SEO Director, and Edward Turner - SEO Director.
