Founded in 2020, JENKI set out to bring the ultimate matcha
experience to London. At a time when the UK market was
dominated by low-grade, poorly prepared matcha, JENKI
introduced ceremonial grade quality, authentic preparation, and a fresh approach to this powerful ingredient.

Starting with pop-ups and markets across the city, JENKI
quickly built a loyal following and opened its first permanent
matcha bar in Spitalfields in 2021. Since then, the brand has
been at the forefront of London’s matcha movement, leading the
shift toward clean, antioxidant-rich and more balanced alternatives to coffee.

Today, JENKI is London’s leading matcha brand, with soon to
be six locations - Spitalfields, Selfridges, Covent Garden,
Borough Market, Canary Wharf and Battersea Power Station. Known for
uncompromising quality, carefully curated spaces, innovative
food and beverage offerings, and an ever-growing community of matcha enthusiasts.
