Phil Ciminelli

Phil Ciminelli is the VP and Senior Project Technical Designer at JERDE. Phil has over 9 years of experience in the field of design.

Ciminelli began their career as an intern at R2 architect. Phil then worked as a designer at Architects Group See for two years before joining 5+design in 2011.

At 5+design, Ciminelli worked as a main design member for concept and S.D phases including several award and competition winning projects around world. Their specialty was design through different phases. For instance, they had participated in more than 30 different projects for 4 years, saving many projects from difficult situation such as project termination or tight schedule without approved design by clients.

Ciminelli’s holistic yet fast design approach and passionate contribution created many successful, profitable projects at 5+design. Some of their notable projects include Youngsan I. B.D in Seoul, Korea (award winning), Taikoo Li Qiantan in Shanghai, China (award winning), Riviera mall in Moscow, Russia (award winning), One City in Shenzhen, China, and Kangwonland Waterpark in Taebek, Korea (competition winning).

Phil has worked with Jay Park, Tim Magill, Arthur Benedetti, and Chang suk Lim.

Phil Ciminelli earned their Master of Architecture and Urban Design from the University of California, Los Angeles. Phil also holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Chung-Ang University.

They work with Catherine Ha - Associate, Senior Technical Designer, Joe Marando - VP & Chief Information Officer, and Eduardo Lopez - SVP & Senior Design Principal. Phil Ciminelli reports to Peter Priebe, Chief Executive Officer.
