Human Performance Engineer at NASA JSC

Lauren Cox, PhD, possesses a solid academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy in Kinesiology focusing on Motor Control and Biomechanics from the University of Houston. Professionally, Lauren has served as a Teaching Fellow, instructing an undergraduate Biomechanics course, and has held multiple roles as a Graduate Research Assistant, managing research projects on childhood obesity and functional neuroimaging related to motor control in adults with Type II Diabetes. Lauren gained research experience through internships at NASA's Johnson Space Center, contributing to studies on postural performance and literature reviews regarding the effects of prolonged bed rest. Currently, Lauren is a Human Performance Engineer at NASA JSC since May 2021.
