Vanessa Gonzalez

Vanessa Gonzalez is an experienced professional currently serving as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) since August 2024, where lessons aim to enhance students' language proficiency and cultural understanding. Previously, Vanessa was a Youth Development Coordinator at More Than Words, coordinating youth programs and assessing their effectiveness. An internship with the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House involved maintaining professional relationships with legislators and managing briefing materials. Further contributions included research on gender-based violence at The Mauricio Gastón Institute and providing constituent support as an intern for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from UMass Boston and has prior educational experience at Massachusetts Bay Community College.
