Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith, FRAeS, is an experienced aviation professional with expertise in piloting and flight instruction. Currently serving as a Pilot Mentor and Maintenance Check Flight Captain for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays since October 2017, Andrew also functions as a Flight Instructor and Head of Training at Yorkshire Aviation Academy. Prior to these roles, Andrew held various positions with Emirates from 2003 to 2017, including B777 Type Rating Examiner and Airline Captain, and gained valuable experience as a Senior First Officer with Thomas Cook Airlines Limited and as a Captain with Gill Airways. Andrew holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.
