David Herd

David Herd has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. David is currently serving as the Head of Data Engineering & Analytics at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of General Manager - Business Intelligence at the same company from January 2018 to April 2022. David also worked as the Business Intelligence Manager from September 2013 to December 2017 and as the Senior Business Intelligence Developer from November 2012 to September 2013 at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. David started their career at RM Education in 1999, working as a Software Engineer until November 2004 and then served as the Senior Software Engineer from November 2004 to June 2010. David also held the position of Technical Services Team Leader at RM Education from June 2010 to March 2012.

David Herd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence (Major) with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Leeds from 1995 to 1998. In 2013, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance.
