John Penny

John Penny is an experienced aviation professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as OCC Duty Manager and Operations Controller at Jet2.com since February 2007, John oversees a growing fleet of over 50 aircraft, including Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-800, and Boeing 757-200. Prior to this, John held the position of Operations Officer, ensuring the efficient execution of the company's flight program by verifying flight plans and optimizing routing for cost efficiency. Additionally, John contributed to the successful establishment of the first self-handling operation at Leeds/Bradford while working in Load Control and Dispatch roles. Earlier experience includes a tenure with British Midland International from September 1998 to February 2007, where John was responsible for load control, dispatch, and customer service, adhering to strict CAA regulations. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from The Nottingham Trent University.
