Mark Light

Mark Light is an experienced aviator currently serving as an A-320 First Officer at JetBlue since March 2022. Prior to this role, Mark was an E-170 First Officer with Republic Airways Holdings Inc from January 2020 to March 2022. Mark’s extensive military background includes over 30 years in the United States Navy, where notable positions included flying Grumman C-2A Greyhound aircraft, serving as Commanding Officer of VRC-40, and coordinating aviation operations as an Air Operations Officer for Carrier Strike Group Eight. Additionally, Mark has held academic roles as Faculty at the US Army War College, teaching graduate-level courses, and completed studies at both the US Army War College and the U.S. Naval War College, earning degrees in Security Strategy and National Security and Strategic Studies, respectively. Mark began formal education with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
