Sofia Karabanova

Sofia Karabanova is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in international corporate and tax law. Currently serving as General Counsel and Senior Group Lawyer at JetBrains since March 2019, Sofia has also held senior roles at Intertrust Group and SGG Group in Amsterdam, highlighting a robust career in complex legal environments. Previous positions include Senior Lawyer in the International Tax Law Department at Offcy Trust House Ltd. in Moscow and Head of the International Corporate Law Department at the Russian Consulting Club. Sofia holds a Master of Advanced Studies in International Tax Law from the International Tax Center at the University of Leiden and a cum laude Master’s degree in law from the National Research University - Higher School of Economics.
