Daniel Rank

Daniel Rank has worked in the software engineering field since 2002. Daniel's first job was as a Software Engineer at Conexant, where they developed firmware drivers, reference drivers, desktop tools, and test automation for satellite TV tuner and demodulator integrated circuits. Daniel also developed automated tests to achieve Cable Labs DOCSIS cable modem certification. In 2008, they moved to NXP Semiconductors and continued to develop firmware drivers and desktop tools in support of the DIRECTV Digital Single Wire Multiswitch (DSWM). In 2013, they joined JetHead Development as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the development and support of the DIRECTV Digital Single Wire Multswitch (DSWM). Daniel also worked as a developer for the AT&T/DIRECTV Genie Mini satellite TV set top box client, performing bug fixes and developing new features for the embedded application. In 2018, they moved to Discover Echo Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and, in 2019, they became a Lead Software Engineer at JetHead.

Daniel Rank obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC San Diego between 1998 and 2002. Daniel has also obtained several certifications from Coursera and IBM, including Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Machine Learning, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Hadoop Foundations - Level 1, Big Data Foundations - Level 1, Data Science Foundations - Level 1, and Data Science Foundations - Level 2, all obtained in 2017.
