Joseph W.

Joseph W. began their career in 2008 as a Software Engineer II at ENSCO, Inc., where they created Hardware Description Documents and Trace Matrices, and wrote system requirements based upon code and schematics. In 2011, they joined JetHead as a Principal Engineer and Technical Product Owner. In this role, they provided stories, oversaw tasks, managed deliverables, created presentations for executive management, created and signed off on designs for the Media Player, Diagnostics Service, and UPnP Discovery Service, and provided mentorship for new team members. Joseph also led a team of 6 in an effort to re-implement UI framework making screens up to 200% faster and customizable via JSON. Additionally, they provided project based on site nation-wide support for embedded software services to help customers design, develop, test and deploy digital video and CE solutions. Joseph also performed porting/debugging of middleware for use by multiple Set Top Boxes (STB) vendors in java and C++, improving the overall stability and scalability of the product. Finally, they designed and lead a four person team to implement Ad Insertion framework used by DirecTV to serve millions of Xandr Ads to customers nation-wide.

Joseph W. attended the University of California, Riverside from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a B.S. in Computer Science. In 2005, they also attended the Central County Regional Occupational Program and studied Information Technology and Server Administration. In 2009, they obtained certifications from ENSCO, Inc. for DO-178B Introductory training and DO-254 Introductory training.
