Galen Simon has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Galen is currently the Business Owner of G. Simon Consulting, LLC, where they offer services such as optimization, safety and compliance, pre-BSEE inspections, supervision, and commissioning and decommissioning supervision.
Prior to starting their own consulting company, Galen worked at Eni as an Onshore Operations Superintendent from November 2018 to November 2021. Galen also served as a Deepwater Asset Manager at Eni's Houston office, where they managed the Morpeth TLP and oversaw its decommissioning.
Before joining Eni, Galen worked at Black Elk Energy, LLC as a Supervisor over WGOM platforms from May 2011 to September 2014. Galen was responsible for supervising operations on the platforms.
Galen's experience also includes working at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement as a Production Safety Inspector from May 2009 to May 2011. In this role, they served as a safety officer and inspector in the Lake Charles district, inspecting offshore platforms in the western Gulf of Mexico.
Prior to that, Galen worked at Island Operating Company as a Sr. Lead Operator from May 2004 to May 2009, where they supervised logistics and operations in the deep water area. Galen also worked at Wood as an A-Operator from March 2003 to May 2004, and at C and D Production Specialist Co. as a Deep water TLP - B-Operator from March 2001 to June 2003.
Galen began their career in the industry as a Production Operator at Island Operating Company from May 1999 to August 2001.
Galen Simon started their education at Louisiana State University Eunice in 1993, where they pursued a degree in Business/Commerce, General. Galen completed their studies at this institution in 1994. Following this, Galen attended McNeese State University from 1996 to 1998, where they focused on Criminalistics and Criminal Science. Galen obtained a degree in the field of study mentioned.
