Paul Wiggins

Former Director Of Information Technology at JHP Architecture / Urban Design

Paul Wiggins has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Paul began their career in 1976 at Higgins & May Consulting Engineers as an Electrical Designer and Project Coordinator. Paul then worked as an Architectural Project Coordinator at Whitaker, McQueen & Jones, Architects, where they handled various projects including schools, offices, and courthouses.

In 1985, Paul joined Enviromental Space Design Inc. Architects as an Architectural Designer and Project Coordinator, focusing on low-rise office retail developments and site planning. After that, they worked at WSP (formerly PBDC) as an Architectural CAD Designer, primarily involved in the development of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit System.

Paul joined Dallas Area Rapid Transit in 1989 as a Light Rail Transit CAD Coordinator, responsible for overseeing the production of construction and planning documents for the Dallas Light Rail Transit System. Paul also played a key role in implementing the conversion of DART's CAD system.

In 1998, Paul took on the role of a Registered Architect and Information Systems Administrator at James, Harwick + Partners. During this time, they managed architectural projects, supervised staff in construction document production, and coordinated work with engineers and project stakeholders.

Since 1998, Paul has been working at JHP Architecture / Urban Design as the Director of Information Technology. In this role, they manage the IT infrastructure, supports various systems and applications, directs the migration to Hosted Office 365 & Teams, and oversees computer support for CAD and BIM systems.

Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated their expertise in architecture, project management, CAD systems, and IT infrastructure management.

Paul Wiggins received a BARCH degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University, where they attended from 1972 to 1981. Paul has also obtained various certifications, including Windows 10 Administration, Network Troubleshooting, and Mac OS X El Capitan New Features, from Lynda.com in different years.
