Ann Barron

Ann Barron serves as a Cyber Essentials Plus Lead Assessor at Jisc since June 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Cyber Security Consultant at Securious Ltd from September 2019 to June 2023, where responsibilities involved assessing Cyber Essentials (Plus) applications, conducting vulnerability scans, and generating compliance feedback reports. Ann's background also includes positions as a Clinical & Administration Support Assistant at NHS Western Isles from August 2013 to March 2015 and as a Transmission Scheduler at Television South West Limited from April 1986 to December 1992. Ann holds a BSc(Hons) in Computer and Information Security with a focus on Cyber/Computer Forensics from the University of Plymouth, earned between 2015 and 2019, and completed studies at Plymouth College of Further Education from 1983 to 1985.
