David Chalmers

David Chalmers is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Trustee and Non-Executive Director at Jisc and a Trustee at Caterham School, Chalmers previously held the position of Head of Technology and Director of Solution Architecture for EMEA at Amazon Web Services from July 2018 to February 2022. Prior to this, Chalmers was the VP of Systems Engineering for EMEA at VMware and the Chief Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Chalmers' career encompasses significant positions in business development and technology leadership at companies such as Macro 4 plc, Stratus Technologies, IBM, Sequent Computers, and Data General. Academic credentials include a B.Sc in Computing Science from the University of Aberdeen.
