John Shaile

John Shaile (MCIPS) is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. As the Director of Procurement & Supplier Management at Jisc since 2015, John leads the development of procurement and supplier management strategies in alignment with corporate goals. Prior roles at Jisc include Head of Operational Procurement and Procurement Advisor/Manager, focusing on operational strategies and framework establishment. Prior to Jisc, John served at Bristol City Council, advancing through roles as Procurement Specialist, Officer, and Technician, where complex procurement projects and cost-saving initiatives were prioritized. Beginning a career at EDF Energy as a Sales Executive, John holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of the West of England.
