Simon Birkett

Simon Birkett is a seasoned professional in digital transformation and educational technology, currently serving as a Senior Consultant for Digital Transformation in Higher Education at Jisc since January 2023. With extensive experience at Staffordshire University, including roles as Digital Campus Manager and IT & Learning Technology Manager, Simon leads initiatives in Learning Spaces, Audio Visual Technologies, and mobile telephony. Previously, at the University of Derby, Simon held the position of Technology Enhanced Learning Manager, focusing on Learning Space Development. Additional experience includes serving as Head of the Centre for Educational Development and Media at the University of Derby from 2005 to 2010. Simon Birkett holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Derby.
