Timothy G.

Timothy G. is an experienced professional in cyber security and education, currently serving as the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Lead and Senior Security Analyst at Jisc since April 2022. Timothy has a strong background in triaging alerts and creating innovative SPL searches within multi-tenanted Splunk environments. Prior to Jisc, Timothy worked at the University of Bolton in various lecturing roles from December 2010 to April 2022, focusing on computer networks and security, and mentoring students. Additional experience includes roles as a Network Manager and IT Technician at Fisherfield Farm Nursery Limited, ICT Technician at Bolton Council, and Technical Specialist at Northgate Information Solutions. Timothy holds a PhD in Educational/Instructional Technology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and a BSc(Hons) in Internet Communications and Networks from the University of Bolton.
