Brian Smith

Brian Smith is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Jito Foundation since October 2024. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Jito Labs from October 2022 to October 2024. Brian's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Analyst at Scopia Capital Management LP, focusing on investments in distressed credit and high yield bonds from August 2014 to April 2021. Additionally, Brian worked as a Restructuring Analyst at Evercore and Miller Buckfire, as well as a Summer Analyst at Cappello Capital Corp. and Brigham Exploration Company. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Georgetown University, completed in 2011, and has also studied at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
