Alec Harrell

Alec Harrell is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on application and product security. Currently, as a Security Engineer at Jito Labs since July 2025, Alec is responsible for securing the organization's assets. Previously, Alec served as Vice President and Senior Product Security Engineer at Galaxy, where expertise in app and product security was applied to protect digital assets and implement a “secure by design” approach. At Palo Alto Networks, Alec led a team in cloud application security and automation, assisting customers with vulnerability management and security practices. Alec's earlier role as Director of Security Services at Novacoast involved providing advisory services and architects for complex solutions in highly regulated sectors. With a background that includes significant development and cybersecurity engineering experience, Alec holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, earned between 2011 and 2016.
