Roland Backfrieder

Roland Backfrieder is an experienced Engineering & Compliance Lead at JLL, where they currently apply their expertise in engineering and compliance. With a background in facility management at companies such as MCIWorldcom Telecomunication Services Austria GmbH and Inditex, Roland has developed a strong foundation in technical building management. They also served as an European Operations Manager at INTERSERVEFM (HOLDINGS) LTD and held the position of European Technical Manager at Mitie from 2020 to 2023. Roland holds engineer's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Sustainable Energy Management from HTBLA Wels and both Universität für Bodenkultur Wien and Technische Universität Wien, respectively, and studied History at Universität Wien.
