Steve C.

Steve C. has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Steve is currently working as a Principal Engineer - Software Development at JMA Wireless since October 2017.

Prior to that, Steve worked at Exalt Wireless, Inc. from September 2012 to October 2017, where they held the position of Software Development Manager and Software Development Technical Leader. In this role, they managed the software development process, provided process training, and managed the software release process. Steve was also responsible for managing an offsite team.

Before Exalt Wireless, Steve worked at Cisco Systems. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Technical Leader/Software Engineer in the Media Pump team, working on Cisco's immersive TelePresence video conferencing systems. Steve was responsible for moving audio and video between network interfaces and Digital Signal Processors. From 2010 to 2011, Steve served as a Technical Leader/Software Engineer in the Outdoor Mesh Access Point team, working with WiFi Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers. Steve set up and documented the local build environment for these products, significantly reducing build times.

Steve also has experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer/Project Manager and a Second level Escalation Engineer at Cisco Systems. In these roles, they conducted customer demonstrations, managed product trials, and provided assistance in resolving field issues. Additionally, Steve worked as a Software Engineer in the Device Driver Team at Cisco, where they developed device drivers for off-the-shelf ASICs.

Prior to their time at Cisco, Steve worked at SpectraPoint Wireless as a Software Engineer from 1998 to 2000, and at Bosch Telecom as a Software Engineer from 1997 to 1998. Steve began their career at Texas Instruments as a Test Software Engineer from 1995 to 1997.

Steve C. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Michigan Technological University. In November 2020, they also obtained two certifications: "Understanding 5G Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS)" and "Understanding 5G New Radio (NR) Standards—A Primer" from Keysight Technologies.
