A legacy of quality. A future of innovation and sustainable growth.

Established in Dornoch in 1972, JMC Highland stands as one of the oldest and most respected electrical contractors in the Scottish Highlands. Eleven years ago, Mark Ridgeway and Garreth Porteous took over the business, committed to maintaining the impeccable reputation built by the original founder while bringing fresh energy and modern expertise and driving the business towards a renewable energy future. Their technical expertise and operational capability has allowed the business to expand into domestic and commercial solar panel, battery storage and EV charger installation services across the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire.

The recent addition of incoming Managing Director Craig Smith marks a transformative chapter for JMC Highland. Craig's deep and diverse Oil and Gas industry experience, combined with his passion for Energy projects, M&A & Finance unlocks multiple growth strategies for JMC Highlands and introduces the availability of Power Purchase Agreements for our capital-constrained customers, removing upfront cost barriers and enabling us to have a greater impact on, and accelerate the energy transition.
