Gary Allison

Gary Allison is the Operating Advisor at JMI Equity. Gary has also previously worked as the SVP Engineering at Ping Identity, where they were responsible for leading the Ping Identity Engineering and SRE teams to deliver next generation cloud identity management solutions for a more secure internet. Gary has also worked as a Bonfire Advisor.

Allison has significant experience in product management, global engineering, and 24x7 operations of multiple SaaS platforms. Gary has successfully brought a new from the ground up, Identity as a Service cloud based offering to market. Gary has also grown Engineering teams significantly though hiring top-talent, built SaaS processes and metrics, led the team to establish SaaS monitoring, alerting, and on-call processes. Allison has also led and actively participated in product definition, strategy, and building product management processes - dramatically increasing the productivity of the Engineering team through effective organization flow, tools, and metrics.

Allison has also led technical due diligence for multiple M&A discussions as well as the successful integration of an acquired team. Gary has guided platform architecture and strategy, and overall had a blast with building a platform and team from the ground up.

Gary Allison completed their BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and their MS in Software Engineering from University of Houston-Clear Lake. Gary also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services in AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
