JML Search is a specialized recruiting firm focused on the people who keep residential assets and service operations running: on-site property management, maintenance, and field leadership. We partner with multifamily, build-to-rent (BTR), and residential operators, as well as service organizations nationwide, to hire proven performers.

JML Search focuses on core operational roles that directly impact building performance, resident experience, and service delivery:

Property Managers and Assistant Property Managers

Commercial and Residential Service Technicians (HVAC, maintenance, and related trades)

Regional, Field, and Area Managers

Maintenance and Facilities Leadership

These are the operators and leaders who own daily building operations, maintenance coordination, compliance, and portfolio performance. JML Search goes directly to people who are performing in the field today and engages them based on real-world results and fit, not job board responses.

Fit. Function. Future.™

Fit: Alignment with ownership, culture, and how the operation actually runs day to day.

Function: A track record of execution in environments similar to your properties and contracts.

Future: The runway and intent to grow with you, not treat the role as a stopover.

How JML Search works

Direct hire search: Targeted headhunting for critical roles where the right hire materially changes performance.

Multi-role engagements: Acting as an extension of your operations team to support new market launches, lease-ups, portfolio expansion, and other moments when multiple hires must land in coordination.

Every search runs through the founder directly. No handoffs, no junior recruiters, no layered account management. Clients work with one person who is fully accountable for the outcome.
