Dan Schikore

Dan Schikore is a distinguished software developer at JMP, a business unit of SAS, since July 2010, specializing in graphics and interfaces for interactive data visualization. Prior to JMP, Dan served as VP of Engineering at Computational Engineering, Intl. from January 2000 to July 2010, overseeing development, technical support, and IT while focusing on 3D graphics and visualization. Dan's earlier experience includes a senior developer role in which work centered on a parallel, client-server visualization application for engineering and scientific data, emphasizing expertise in threaded and distributed parallel rendering, virtual reality, and computational geometry. Additionally, Dan worked as a computer scientist at LLNL between July 1997 and December 1999, leading research projects related to the visualization of large datasets from high-performance computing simulations. Dan earned a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1997, following a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the same institution in 1992.
