Kate Ellison

Kate Ellison is an accomplished HR professional with extensive international experience. Currently serving as VP HR & HSE at John Crane since May 2024, Kate previously held the position of VP HR at Smiths Detection from June 2015 to May 2024, where responsibilities included international HR and career development. Earlier roles at Smiths Detection encompassed HR Director for Global Operations & Service and HRBP Organisation Development, focusing on talent leadership and support across various divisions. Prior experience includes Head of HR at Disruptive Limited and a tenure at Empresaria Group Plc as UK HR & Operations Manager. Kate began their career as a Service Operations Assistant at Diners Club International. Academic qualifications include a BA Hons in European Business from Loughborough University and an MA in Law & Employment Relations from the University of Leicester.
