Mike Eason has extensive work experience in various industries and positions. Mike began their career in 1999 at Unilever, where they established and led the Polymer Science R&D group. Mike later worked at the Royal Society of Chemistry as an elected board member, representing industrial members and advocating for their needs.

In 2006, Eason joined Reckitt Benckiser as an R&D Manager for the Veet brand and later became a member of the New Technologies Group, responsible for sourcing new technology for market concepts.

From 2008 to 2011, Eason served as the Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at Oxford Advanced Surfaces Group, leading a team in developing surface modification technology for various sectors.

Eason then joined James Walker in 2011 as the Technical and Quality Director, eventually becoming the Technical Director and later taking on the role of Customer Experience Director.

In 2021, Eason became a board member of the Energy Materials Group at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

Currently, Eason holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at John Crane, where they lead global R&D and is a member of the divisional board. Mike is involved in developing mechanical seals and ancillary equipment for the speciality fluid sealing company, which is the largest division of Smiths Group PLC. Additionally, Eason is an Executive Committee Member at the European Sealing Association.
