Kai Bowen is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Technology and Management at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to graduate in 2025. As a member of the Illini Formula Electric team, Kai focuses on drivetrain design and manufacturing and also competes on the varsity Ultimate Frisbee team for Illinois Rise. Kai has gained practical experience as a Drivetrain Engineer at Illini Formula Electric, a Wire Harness Design Intern at AGCO Corporation, and is currently a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at John Deere, supporting the 8R drivetrain assembly and participating in a Quality Engineer EDP rotation. Kai is interested in engineering opportunities in automotive or aerospace design.
