Daniel Tobin, FSA, is an AVP and Actuary at John Hancock, where they have contributed significantly to reinsurance and capital management since 2018. With a strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mentality, they excel in generating and communicating solutions across various levels. Daniel possesses a diverse range of experience in insurance and reinsurance, including asset liability management, financial reporting, and product pricing. Prior to their current role, they held positions at Sun Life Financial and Ironshore Insurance, where they developed key actuarial skills and fostered a culture of education and improvement. Daniel earned a degree in Mathematics with a focus on Actuarial Sciences from Bentley University in 2012.
