Derek Vasapollo is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and systems management. Currently serving as Director of Cloud Infrastructure Services at John Hancock Financial Services since 2015, Derek oversees a team responsible for the migration of approximately 1000 servers to Azure Cloud and manages over 1300 virtual machines across two data centers. Prior to this role, Derek held various positions at New York Life Insurance Company for 14 years, including Manager of IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer, where notable achievements included the successful implementation of a disaster recovery solution and the migration of numerous plans to new recordkeeping systems. Derek possesses a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bridgewater State College and furthered education through various real estate and technical programs.
