Tom Crohan

Tom Crohan currently serves as Vice President & Counsel for U.S. Law & Government Relations at John Hancock since January 2024. Previously, Tom held the position of VP & Counsel, Global Head of Community Investment at Manulife from February 2021 to January 2024, and before that, served as Vice President & Counsel for Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations at John Hancock Financial Services from January 2010 to February 2021. In these roles, Tom has led corporate responsibility initiatives, focusing on sustainability, community investments, and employee engagement, while also providing counsel on government relations at various levels. Tom's earlier experience includes serving as Senior Policy Aide in the Office of Senator Edward M. Kennedy and as a Senior Director in Corporate Responsibility, along with a summer associate position at Cooley Manion Jones LLP. Tom earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and a BA in Political Science and Communication from the University of New Hampshire, complemented by participation in the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
