Daniel Schmit has extensive work experience in facility management and operations. Daniel started their career at JohnPac, Inc. as a Plant Manager, overseeing a large manufacturing operation. Daniel later became the Vice President of Operations, where they were responsible for strategic planning and managing various functions, including production, warehousing, and human resources.
Prior to working at JohnPac, Inc., Schmit held several positions at Morton Salt. Daniel started as a Project Engineer and worked their way up to Facility Manager, leading a large salt mine and milling operation. Daniel also managed a chemical plant and shipping facilities.
Throughout their career, Schmit demonstrated strong leadership skills and implemented various improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs. Daniel has expertise in safety, reliability, quality, and environmental management.
Daniel Schmit obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in 1990.
