Deepak C R is an accomplished data scientist and engineer with extensive experience in the field of computer vision and deep learning. Currently serving as a Principal Data Scientist at Johnson Controls since September 2019, Deepak has developed applications for object detection, smoke/fire detection, and crowd counting. Previously, at Jio, Deepak contributed to the development of face recognition products and managed a team focused on face recognition engine development. Deepak’s career also includes work as a Senior Algorithms Engineer at UncannyVision Solutions, where innovations in safety gear detection systems were key, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Vehant Technologies, focusing on automatic number plate recognition and vehicle violation detection systems. Deepak holds a Master of Technology in Computer Vision and Image Processing from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the University of Calicut.
