James McLaughlin

James McLaughlin possesses extensive experience in emergency medical services and education. As an Adjunct Faculty member at Des Moines Area Community College, McLaughlin served as an EMT/Paramedic Skills Instructor and Evaluator. Prior to this role, McLaughlin worked as a Paramedic for Fraser Ambulance, a Telecommunications Technician Journeyman for Baker Electric-Iowa, and operated DesMoinesCPR as Owner/Manager. In addition to emergency services, McLaughlin has held leadership positions such as Worshipful Master at South Gate Lodge #657 and Squadron Commander of the Des Moines Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol. Currently, McLaughlin works as a Field Service Technician II at Johnson Controls, focusing on integrating and maintaining safety and access control systems. McLaughlin's academic credentials include a certificate in Paramedic Specialist from Mercy College of Health Sciences and a degree in Flight Operations/Aviation Management from Iowa Lakes Community College.
