Mark Skeen began their career with the San Jose Fire Department in 1989, rising to the position of Captain by 1997. Elected to the San Jose Firefighters Union in 1994, Mark served as Executive Vice President for nine years and was also an elected official on the San Jose Police and Fire Department Retirement Board for a decade, where they contributed to significant growth in managed assets. Currently, Mark is the Vice President of Global Business Development at Johnson Controls Global Intrusion and is involved with the Board of Directors, as well as serving as Vice President of Life Safety & Compliance for a global high-tech company. Mark has pursued advanced education in pension management, capital stewardship, and money management at prestigious institutions, including Stanford and Harvard Law Schools.
