Compliance Manager, London at Blink

Ana Mason is the Compliance Manager for Blink, a front-line app. Ana has been in this role for 5 months. Prior to this, they were the Co-Owner of Lisbon Coast Cottages for 17 years and 9 months. Ana has also held various positions at Treatwell and Wahanda, including Head of Product Support & DPO, Head of Product Support, Head of International Support, Head of Operations, Head of Supply Support, Supply Support Manager, and Content Acquisition & Community Manager. In these roles, Ana was responsible for coordinating and supporting new market launches and post merger team integrations, offering local teams operational expertise and know how, systems and processes training, setting up cross functional liaisons and promoting and monitoring best practice. Ana was also involved in the planning, scope and implementation of system improvements and new processes. Through their in-depth knowledge of our system (both internal and our extranet), Ana was able to offer support to all the Supply team members on how to use it on a daily basis and often do training sessions with newcomers. As the Content Acquisition Manager, they recruited, created and managed a team or remote workers, both full time and part time, that did the Data Entry in order to achieve this. This included prioritising business types to be loaded, locations to be loaded, countries, etc. Ana was also a major contributor to the populating of the US site before and after its launch. As time went on, the team started loading not only listings but the purchasable content within them, ie, service menus and special offers. The growth in this sector eventually led to their current position as Supply Support Manager. This also meant training each individual member of the team in the new areas, learning what their strengths and weaknesses were and using those to the business' best advantage. As a Community Manager they dealt with complaints about the reviewing platform, mainly review disputes, both from customers and suppliers. Ana managed to maintain a verification system that resulted in very few complaints being escalated to serious. This Community side of their role continued to be part of their responsibilities until September 2012, being something they managed alongside their Supply Support Manager position.

Ana Mason has a University of the Arts London degree in Graphic and Media Design from 1996 to 2000. Ana also has a high school diploma in Arts from Escola Secundária Sebastião e Silva from 1993 to 1996. In addition, they have a BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection from 2017.

Ana Mason is the compliance manager for the team in London. Ana is responsible for ensuring that the team adheres to all applicable laws and regulations. Ana also works closely with the team's financial reporting and compliance manager to ensure that the team's financial reports are accurate and compliant with all relevant regulations.
