Ryan McClarnon is a mobile developer from London who currently works for Blink. Ryan has over five years of experience in the field, and has worked on a variety of projects during their career.

McClarnon began their career as a software engineer for Breezie, where they worked on a number of Android applications, services, and libraries. Ryan was also responsible for re-architecting some of these applications to use modern best practices and patterns. In addition to their work on Android applications, McClarnon also developed a Spring/Java microservice and an Angular-based management portal.

After two years with Breezie, McClarnon moved on to their current role as an Android developer for Blink. In this role, they are responsible for developing an Android application from scratch that meets feature-parity with the Blink iOS and Web applications. McClarnon has used their experience with Android development to put into place the best practices from the Android community, resulting in a clean and modular codebase. Additionally, McClarnon acts as Scrum Master for one of Blink’s two Agile teams.

Ryan McClarnon has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kent and a BTEC National Diploma in Broadcast and Digital Communication from The BRIT School.
