Johanna Johnson

Johanna Johnson has eight years of professional experience. Johanna began their career in 2004 as a Teaching Assistant for CS1 and CS2 at Caltech. In 2005, they worked as an SDE Intern at Microsoft. In 2006, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the primary Dev on the Microsoft Active Protection Service and worked on responding to 1 billion+ queries a day on the maliciousness of a file. Johanna also held the role of Senior Software Development Engineer and Software Developement Engineer, where they focused on detection and removal of rootkits and other advanced remediation. In 2018, they moved to Gigamon as a Principal Software Engineer. In 2020, they joined SpecterOps as a Principal Software Engineer. In 2021, they began working as a Principal Engineer and Advisor, Antivirus at Massive, as well as a Principal Engineer at Corelight, Inc.

Johanna Johnson attended Liberty High School before enrolling at Caltech in 2002, where they studied Computer Science until 2006.
