Carolyn Ruffin

Carolyn Ruffin is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics and special education. Currently serving as a Math Lead, Math Intervention Coordinator, and Math Learning Coach at Prisma since July 2022, Carolyn previously held various positions at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, including Mathematics Teacher/PLC Lead and Special Education Teacher/Department Chair. Carolyn's teaching certifications include Middle School Math, Algebra 1, Special Education (General Curriculum, K-12), and English as a Second Language (PreK-12). Carolyn also worked as a Research Assistant for My Teaching Partner and as a Curriculum Development Specialist at LivingSocial. Carolyn holds a Master of Teaching in Special Education & ESL from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French Studies from Wake Forest University.
