Dave Richardson

Dave Richardson has extensive work experience in software development and engineering roles. Dave currently works as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Joist since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Software Developer at Legible from January 2022 to April 2022, where they contributed to the development of a backend Kafka-powered metadata processing pipeline and an internal REST API.

Before Legible, Dave was a Programmer/Analyst 2 at the City of Winnipeg from October 2017 to January 2022. During this time, they developed and maintained applications for Winnipeg Transit, including the creation of the official Winnipeg Transit App for Android and iOS.

Prior to that, Dave worked at Enigma Networks as a Lead Developer, where they led the development of various internal and client projects for small and medium-sized businesses in the Winnipeg area. Dave also mentored a junior developer and played a key role in developing a custom hotel-style accommodation booking application.

Dave's earlier experience includes roles at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where they served as an Information Systems Analyst and a Web Developer, and at The University of Winnipeg as a Lead Programmer. Dave started their career at Shoppers Drug Mart as a Cashier Supervisor.

Dave Richardson attended Linden Christian School from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Dave then pursued a degree in Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg from 2009 to 2014.
