Ryan Chong

Ryan Chong has a diverse work experience in product management, entrepreneurship, and consulting. Ryan'smost recent role is as a Senior Product Manager at Joist since June 2022. Before that, they were the Head of Product at Bookmark from December 2021 to June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Manager at Koru from March 2021 to November 2021.

Ryan also has experience as a founder and general manager at Standard Luggage Co., where they successfully launched and grew a consumer travel brand. Ryan worked as a Startup Consultant and Advisor independently from January 2018 to January 2021.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Ryan worked as a Product Manager at Rogers Communications from January 2012 to June 2018. Ryan also had a role as a Digital Consultant at The Walrus from September 2011 to September 2012.

Ryan's career started as the co-founder and head of product at SpeechBobble Inc., where they raised $1.5-million seed investment and worked on fundraising and PR activities from May 2008 to September 2012.

Ryan Chong completed their Bachelor of Commerce in Technology Management with a focus on Enterprise Systems and Finance at Ryerson University from 2003 to 2008. In October 2021, they obtained a Professional Certificate for Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies from the University of California, Berkeley.
