Welcome to Jolly Roger Games: The 8-bit Revolution, Reloaded!

In the 1980's, Jolly Roger Games was born from a shared obsession with glowing CRTs, the clack of joysticks, and the magic of a 64KB universe. Fast forward through a few decades of life, and the original crew is back together! We’re two mates who never grew out of the "Golden Age," and we’ve officially hoisted the black flag again to bring back the pure, unadulterated joy of retro gaming.

What We Do
We don’t just make games; we build time machines. Our mission is to capture that lightning-in-a-bottle 1980s vibe and bottle it for the modern era. Think of it as "New-School Soul in an Old-School Body." We take the pixel-perfect aesthetics and addictive "one-more-go" gameplay of the C64 and Arcade eras and infuse them with modern themes, smoother mechanics, and contemporary humour.

Why Follow Us?
Authentic Nostalgia: We’re coding in our spare time, fuelled by coffee and memories, just like the bedroom coders of the 80s.

Modern Twists: Ever wondered what a modern social commentary or a 2026 tech trend would look like in 16 colours? We’re building it.

The Journey: From assembly language headaches to the glory of a finished sprite, we’re sharing the highs and lows of indie retro development.

We believe that gaming lost a bit of its "soul" when things got too serious. Jolly Roger Games is about bringing back the FUN. No micro-transactions, no 100GB patches, just pixels, passion, and the spirit of two mates building something cool in a garage.

The Jolly Roger is flying again. Are you ready to play?
